Hello, I’m Sanjana Runwal.
I am a 17 year-old student who is passionate about Economics and Urban Planning & Policy.
I enjoy being active; whether it's playing a sport, performing an art, learning a new skill, or simply helping someone out.
I am also the Founder and Executive Director of Clean Up Foundation, an NGO established in 2016 to improve the lives of sanitation workers and rag pickers of Mumbai, my home. From a young age, I have been an advocate for bringing about a positive change around me.
In the future, I plan to pursue a career in urban planning & policy, while continuing to expand my NGO.

Clean-Up Foundation is a non-profit organization /charity which aims to bring about a positive change in the lives of garbage cleaners and sanitation workers of Mumbai. Sanjana spearheads operations of Clean Up. It has taken numerous steps through various activities such as provision of clean drinking water for garbage cleaners, providing safety gear for sanitation workers, education assistance for sanitation workers’ children, providing medical insurance and so on. It is now working on possibilities of providing housing facilities for this segment. The organization’s activities are targeted at improving and enhancing the health and hygiene, around those who help the city clean but themselves live in appalling conditions. We are here for the ones who don’t have access to the necessities.
